Birthday Card using Lawn Fawn

Today I want to share a card I made to enter into the current Scrappy Saturday Challenge, as well as the current challenge over at Simon Says Challenge. This week we have to choose one line from the bingo board on the Simon Says Challenge blog, and use that on our card. I chose the line Punch/Die Cuts - Embossing - Ribbon
I used a corner-rounder punch, I embossed the lines of my gifts and I added some ribbon. Here's my card:

I used "Bake Me A Cake" stamp set by Lawn Fawn. The gifts are the cake-layers stamps, upside-down. I used some lines from the same set to stamp the bottom of the gifts. I then used a black embossing-pen to make the "string" and bow on the gifts. All of my stamping were embossed in black embossingpowder. I used some scrap American Crafts patterned paper to stamp on. The ribbon is white May Arts grosgrain, which I colored with a black Promarker.

Reverse Stamping Video

I the last video I made, I said that if anyone wanted me to demonstrate how I do the reverse stamping, I would do that. And Christiana wanted to see that, so I made a video showing how I reverse stamp =)

Follow Your Own Path card using Lawn Fawn stamps

Today is the day! A new challenge is up at Lawnscaping, and this time, we are all coing to case one of Kelly Marie's cards =) So fun! I chose this card, by Kelly Marie:

Here's my card:

After making this card, I also shot a short (about 5 minutes long) video, showing the card's shine and some of the techniques I used on it. I couldn't make the shine I added on to select fishes show up well in the photographs, so I decided a video would do that better =) Here's the video:

Supplies I used on this card:
- Lawn Fawn stamps: "Critters in the Sea" and "Jessie's ABC's"
- White, smooth paper: Bristol Board - Airbrush, by Daler Rowney (my choice for Promarker/Copic coloring)
- Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
- Copic Multiliner 0.5
- Back of old rubber stamp, for reverse-image technique (see video for explanation on this =)
- Promarkers for coloring
- Ranger Inkssentials Embossingpen, clear
- Clear Embossingpowder
- Bazzill Basics Cardstock

Congratulations card today...

Today I'd like to share a card I made today to enter into Simon Says Challenge's current challenge, which is to use this sketch:

I did a few minor changes to the sketch. First of all, I flipped it over.

Then I made my card, omitting the flowers and putting the main focal point in the center instead of off to the side. Even with these changes, I did base it upon the sketch, so hopefully it's all ok for the challenge =)
This card was made to be a congratulating new parents-type of card. The sentiment is Norwegian, and says 'congratulations'. Here's my card:

New Baby Onesie Card

Today I'm sharing a card I made to enter into the following challenges:
Creative Card Crew - New Beginnings
Cute Card Thursday - Out With The Old (use old stash)
Delightful Sketches - Buttons
Simon Says Challenge - New Beginnings

Here's the card I made. I also filmed the process of making the card, and so you can see that video underneath the picture of my card here:

Remember, you can always click the YouTube logo in the bottom right corner of the video-screen to see the video over at YouTube =)

I used old scraps of patterned paper for the onesie and the green heart, to go with the Cute Card Thursday challenge, and a button to go with Delightful Sketches challenge. The card is meant to congratulate on a new baby, which falls into the new beginnings category from the last two challenges I listed above. All of the supplies are listed at the end of the video.

Now I can...

with Canon =) Okay, so that may be a bit cheesy, being Canon's slogan and all. But I thought it would be the perfect headline, as it's really true! If you're still wondering what in the world I'm talking about (and chances are, you do), I have some nice news to share...

I've gotten a new camera! It's a Canon camera, digital, and it has a wonderful video-function on it. I can now shoot HD-quality (720p) videos, and I'm soo happy about it! I don't know about you, but I like watching the better quality videos from people on YouTube, soo much better then watching the poor-quality ones =) I shot a video today, just a Quick Tip video, showing how I've labeled my Promarkers. If you compare that video to my previous ones, you can absolutely see the difference in quality. It's amazing! I love it =)

Also, I was playing around with my camera after shooting the video, and I realized that it has another function I love. When shooting video, if I bring an object closer to the camera, the focus adjusts to have the object be crystal-clear again. I've seen that in other people's videos before, and loved it! It's just another wonderful feature, which I'm soo happy to have =)
Okay, so enough ranting from me about my new camera now. On to the next order of business, my video on how I've labeled my Promarkers!

You can always click the YouTube logo in the bottom right corner, if you want to view the video on YouTube instead of here. And if you want to compare this video to my older ones, please check out my YouTube channel =)

"Just Wavin' Hello" Circle Card

Today I'm sharing my card that I'll enter into the first Lawnscaping challenge =)
This time it's All About Snow! I don't have any of the winter/christmas-themed lawn Fawn sets, so I came up with this idea using mostly the "Critters in the Sea"-set. Here's my card:

(the colors of this main photo are a bit off, see the closeup to see more accurately how the colors of this card looks irl =)

I stamped and drew out a over and under the water scene, stamped some fishes, a sea-plant, some shells, some bubbles and the seahorse. On the seahorse I drew in a scarf. Over the water I drew in snow. The snowflakes is a small circle from the "Bake Me A Cake" stamp set. I used Liquid Applique to make the snow puff up. The sentiment is also from the "Critters in the Sea"-set. I just stamped one word at a time next to each other, instead of the three words below eachother as the stamp originally is. All of the image was colored with Promarkers and one light blue Copic. I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp with =)
