Published tags

Hi everyone

Today I have somthing sligthly different to share with you. I wanted to show you a set of three tags I got published in Paper Crafts Holiday Cards & More Volume 7. I was so excited when I got the acceptance email for these tags I had made =) And I got even more excited when one of the tags was even shown on the Paper Crafts Connection blog last week! You can see that post here.

Here's a picture I took, showing my trio of tags:

Please check out the Paper Crafts Holiday Cards & More Volume 7 magazine for full supplies list and instructions.
You can find the magazine at Paper Crafts' website here, and purchase it here.

I used all Paper Smooches stamps for my tags. And when looking through the magazine, I noticed that there were lots of cards and other projects published, that had Paper Smooches stamps on them. So I went through and counted, and if my count is correct, there were actually 18 projects using Paper Smooches stamps in the magazine! That's wonderful =) Another fun thing, to my count, 9 out of those 18 projects used the Paper Smooches set Reflections for leaves, berries and/or poinsettas! I do not have that set in my collection, but it is definentely on my radar now =)

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Young Crafters Unite - Challenge #14

Today I have my card for the new YCU challenge to share with you. Please go check it out on the YCU blog

Here's my card for this challenge:

This month the DT are all using stamps from Neat and Tangled =) Our theme this month is "learning is fun", and the challenge is to use a technique you've learned recently or one of your favorite techniques. I chose to use one of my favorite techniques on this card, which is reverse/mirror stamping. I reverse stamped that adorable little bee image, and added a tiny circle to the cheek of one of them to look like it's blushing =) I made a video about reverse stamping a while back, showing the clear stamp block I use for reverse stamping and how to do the technique. You can check out that video here, if you'd like =)

Now, I'f you haven't checked out this challenge over at the YCU blog, you can use this link to get there:

We have an awesome design team on the YCU blog. Please go check out their fabulous creations for this challenge as well =)

And lastly, my fellow co-creator of the Young Crafters Unite! blog

Avery Elle - a great new company =)

Hi everyone!

Today I have somewhat of a different blogpost for you. I will be talking about a new company on the block, and I have the priviledge of getting to share a discount code to their store with all of my readers =)

I have not been sponsored by the company to do this post. But when I found out I could get a discount code for us all to use in their store, I knew I wanted to write this blogpost and share it with you all =) Before I start, I want to let you know that you can click on all the pictures in this post, to go to the areas of their webshop where the products can be found.

I was introduced to Avery Elle ( a little while back, when they had their first release. I was actually the lucky winner of a contest on their blog from their first release, so now I have two of their stamp sets in my crafty stash =) Avery Elle offers clear stamp sets made out of high quality photopolymer, as well as heavy-weight cardstock and 5/8" grosgrain ribbon in matching colors. And, they offer free cutting files for their stamp sets too! More on that further down =)

Photopolymer Stamps

Avery Elle makes high quality photopolymer stamps, and they are absolutely wonderful to work with! If you are familiar with Hero Arts, Lawn Fawn or Paper Smooches clear stamps, the stamps from Avery Elle are the same excellent quality as the stamps from those companies. They ink up well and stamp beautifully, and they have some really interesting and beautiful designs available =)
I know I haven't shared any cards using Avery Elle stamps on my blog yet, but if I have time later this week I will do so. In the meantime, you can go check out their current selection of stamps right here: .

Free Cutting Files

As I mentioned above, Avery Elle now also offer free digital cutting files for all their stamp sets. I think this is such a wonderful and smart idea, and so nice that it is free!
You can find the cut files for each stamp sets by clicking onto the page for the stamp set itself, and scrolling down to Related Products. Then you can simply place the cut files in your cart, go through checkout, and then you can dowload the files afterwards. The files come in two formats, .svg and .pdf
I also asked the owner of Avery Elle, if it would be okay to dowload the cut files for stamp sets you don't own, and use them alone. She said that they consider their cut files as a bonus to their customers, and that we can feel free to use them without the matching stamp set if we'd like to =)

Cardstock and Ribbon

Avery Elle offers a selection of fabulous colors of cardstock and grosgrain ribbon. Their cardstock is 8 1/2" x 11" heavy weight (100lb) cardstock, and is acid free and chlorine free. You can buy their cardstock in 12 or 25 sheets per color, or you can build your own "sample pack" of 25 sheets where you pick yourself what colors you want. Avery Elle currently have 13 colors of cardstock in their store, so there are lots of colors to choose from =)
Avery Elle also sells 5/8" grosgrain ribbon in the same colors as most of their cardstock. So if you love to match cardstock and ribbon colors on your cards, this is for you =) They currently have 12 colors of ribbon in their store.

To give us all inspiration on how to use Avery Elle stamps, cutting files, cardstock and ribbon, they also have a blog that is well worth checking out: . They have a fabulous design team there, that consists of Kasia Curry, JJ Bolton, Heather Campbell and Chunyuan Wu. They are all very talented ladies, who makes the most wonderful cards for our inspiration =)

Discount code

Now for the best part! Avery Elle have given me a discount code to their store, to share with all of my readers =)

The code gives you 10% off any stamp set in stock, until it expires on 9/14/12. The code is MARIE

Thank you so much to Avery Elle for the discount code! I hope you all will take a look in their store and see what they have to offer =)

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

PS: I previously did a haul video showing the two Avery Elle stamp sets I have (plus some other things), which you can check out here if you're interested =)

Quick Tip Video + new products

Hi everyone!

I know it has been quiet here on my blog lately. I started my full time job a couple weeks ago, and with (good) family stuff happening too, I haven't had as much time or energy to create cards. But today I have a video that I want to share with you, as well as showing you some new products I have seen lately that I like =)

Here's the quick tip video, showing how to align border dies to make a full background. I used Simon Says Stamp's Star Border Craft die to show the technique:

Speaking of Simon Says Stamp, they have just released a new bunch of stamps and dies! I am loving this stamp set, designed by Kristina Werner:
And this die is one of my favorites from their new release:

Deasy Designs just released these two new stamp sets, which I think are so fun =)

I love the cute pumpkins and the house image in the halloween set, and the fun elf and great tree you can decorate in the christmas set =)

Danielle, from Neat and Tangled, released her very first sets of photopolymer clear stamps on August 10th =) You can see her entire collection of stamps on her website . Here are three of my favorite sets:

And lastly, some of my favorites from Lawn Fawn's latest release:
