7 or less - Challenge 1

Today is a very special day… It’s the day to start the first 7 or less challenge!

When I started up my 7 or less video series a short while back, I knew I wanted to show you the possibilities you have with a limited number of supplies. Each time I’ve created a video for the 7 or less series, I have found it to be a real challenge, but still, completely doable. So, I started thinking that it would be fun to see how other cardmakers would solve the same product constraint challenge, and still make something awesome! And so, the 7 or less challenge was born!

I am excited to see what you, yes I mean YOU, can create using only 7 or less supplies =) Oh, and before you run away scared, please check my lists of what counts as one product and what is not included in the count, below. If you have any questions, leave them for me in the comment section on this blog post. I will answer all questions left there =)

Challenge Theme
This challenge does not have a theme, you can create whatever kind of card you’d like, as long as you only use 7 or less products!

Sponsor

This challenge is sponsored by the amazing Lawn Fawn. I am so excited about having them sponsor this first challenge! Lawn Fawn has wonderful high quality stamps, papers, stickers, twine and dies in their product line, so lots of goodness to check out on their website =)

So, before I tell you more details on how to enter the challenge, here’s a video I shot while making my card for this challenge:

And here is a picture of the finished card:

I love the fun look of the line art stamps stamped in colored ink! I think this shows you don't always have to get your copics, pencils or watercolors out, just because you want to use a line art stamp like this cute seal and star =)

HI! If I stamp an image on white cardstock and fussy cut it and stick it on the card base, does that mean I already used 2 of the 7 items allowed? Also is masking paper considered an adhesive or one item? thanks! I love this challenge and I really want to join :)

@Malini You have already used 1 ink, 1 cardstock and 1 stamp by my count. If you for instance used the same white cardstock for stamping+fussy cutting, as you used for your cardbase, you have still only used 3 items when you've stuck the image on the card =) I'd say masking paper goes under adhesive or basic tools, so no need to count that. Thanks for asking!

I have just added one of my cards from the CAS2 online class. So happy I found this blog. It's amazing how much items are being used even on CAS cards!

Super fun! Love the idea of this challenge! I will making my card to participate! Can I submit more than one card?

Marie / Legojenta said... [Reply]

@Agus :) Yes, you may enter this challenge up tp three times with different cards =)

If you are using heat embossing, do the embossing ink and the embossing powder count as 2 separate items or would you rather consider the clear embossing ink as a kind of adhesive?

Marie / Legojenta said... [Reply]

@Marianne The embossing ink and embossing powder count as two items. Thanks for asking =)
