An announcement

I have decided to put the challenge on hold for a while. At this time I do not know for how long, or if I will resume it again in the future. I wanted to thank everyone who has entered the challenge, I am amazed that you've all taken on such a difficult challenge of using only 7 or less products for your cards =) Also, thanks so much to Lawn Fawn and Neat and Tangled for sponsoring challenges, it is much appreciated!

Shaking Lion Card

Today I'll be sharing a card I made to enter into the current Lawnscaping Challenge.

When I saw the challenge theme, I thought it would be a great time to do something I had been thinking about for a while. And that was to use an Action Wobbler to make the head of a critter shake! It brings a lot of dimension to the card =)

And here's a quick video showing the lion's head shaking:

I made a few adjustments to the action wobbler to make it work for my image. Here's some pictures I took along the way to explain. I'm sorry that they're so washed out in color, I didn't bother with fixing them up in PSE like I do with my finished card pictures, all I did was to add my watermark. Feel free to skip reading this if you're not interested =)

First up, I trimmed the action wobbler down a lot to make it small enough to fit behind the lions head. I actually trimmed almost all the way into the edge of the spring on the top, and way into the middle on the bottom. I stamped, colored and cut out the full lion and a second lion's head. The action wobbler is pretty high, and I didn't want the head of my lion to stand up quite that much. To make the shaking head stand a little less high up from the lion itself, I decided to attach the bottom of the spring onto the cardbase, and the white panel with the lions adhered onto the cardbase with foam adhesive. So I made two circle cutouts for the spring to fit through.

I adhered the body to the white piece, lining up the cutout circle holes. I then adhered the white panel onto the cardbase using foam adhesive.

My next step was to adhere the bottom of the spring to the cardbase, in the middle and through the circle holes

And last step was to adhere the head top the top of the spring

And then my card was done! I think it's so fun to see the head shake, and I love the dimension it brings to the card as well =)

My wishlist today...

The fourth 7 or less challenge is going on right now! Click the graphic below to check it out
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today I'm quickly sharing a few things that are on my papercrafting wishlist right now =)

The clear block bundle and case from Stampin' Up! looks amazing, and looks like it's such high quality. These are just on my wishlist because I loove how they look and I'm dreaming of having them myself. But, since I live in Norway where there are no demonstrators, I am not allowed to shop from Stampin' Up! So they will just remain a dream...
The new Briny Blue stamp set and matching dies from Paper Smooches literally went on my wishlist the very first day I saw the set being previewed on their DT blog hop. I love the look of the killer whale and the other fish =)
The stamp sets with matching dies from Clearly Besotted Stamps are so fun and pretty, and I hope to get to try out their products soon. I have never tried their stamps or dies before, but I'm sure they're excellent quality!

Hot Air Balloon Card

The fourth 7 or less challenge is going on right now! Click the graphic below to check it out

Hi everyone

Today I have a cardmaking video to share with you, along with the card I made in the video. I made the card to enter into these challenges:

CAS-ual Fridays - CFC105 Mapquest

Now, I have a confession to make: I don't really like this card. I struggled while making it, and I don't like how it turned out in the end. I think it's just too much pattern for me or something. But, anyways, here's the video showing how I made this card:

And still pictures of the card:
