Girl Yeti Birthday Card

Hi there

Today I am sharing a card I made for my niece's 1st birthday. I'll also be entering it into these challenges:
Simon Says Stamp challenge - Anything Goes
Lawnscaping - Inspired by a pin (I was inspired by this pin)

I wanted to keep the colors light for this card, and to give it a girl yeti image =) First off, I gave the yeti a cute bow (stamped, colored and cut out) and a present to hold (drawn with marker, colored and cut out). I colored the yeti with light grey shades, and added a grey line to ground her. Then, at the last minute I decided I would give her open eyes. If you check out the stamp set including this yeti, you will see that the yeti originally don't have open eyes like this. I did a video tutorial on this making-the-eyes-open-technique a while back, which you can check out here to learn more =)

I hate trying to link Copic markers with the Inlinkz system. So I'll just list the colors I used here: RV00, RV02, V01, V04, N0, N3, W0, W2, 0-blender. I also used some thick vellum to mat the image piece which I didn't link to as well =)

Stitched Snowflake Card

Today I am sharing a quick card I made, with a stitched snowflake on it =)
I'll be entering this into the current Wednesday Simon Says Stamp challenge, which is all about Christmas/Happy Holidays

I used an old stitching template to pierce the holes for the snowflake in the blue cardstock. After stitching the snowflake, I aded a small clear button to the center. I also added a stamped greeting from Lawn Fawn inside the card, saying 'seasons greetings', in blue ink.

I will be sending this card + a few others to the Caring Hearts Card Drive. It's a wonderful cause, and I encourage you to check it out if you haven't already! It's being run by Vera Yates and Jennifer McGuire, so you instantly know it's a good one =)
